Day One: Discover nest and an Osprey pair. What are they watching over?

Beak and eye never fail to hook me...

My conclusion: Watching over eggs. One partner hangs out on a nearby tree. Constant talking to one another - warnings of danger, etc.

If I hang out long enough, it becomes a dynamic situation - one partner leaves nest/comes back.
