Birds have always amazed me, but I never really thought I could capture good photographs of them. Advances in digital photography during the past 5-8 years have changed all that and I have become a passionate observer and photographer of birds - especially the larger raptors and water birds.

As one visits the many places where these birds can be found, it takes very little time to realize that a rich variety of species live in close proximity to one another. Each thrives and is able to take advantage of both the habitat and the presence of the others.
